Hi! I’m so glad you’re here! Minis are my passion and I’m so excited to share it with you. In a perfect world, I’d be able to bring each and every one of you into my studio. Since I can’t, though, I’m doing the next best thing: I’m sharing my designs, here, for you to to download. They’re free, and you’re free to use them however you see fit. All I ask is that you credit me.
I’ll post my designs, grouped by project, as I create them. I’ll show you what to do with them in a related series of tutorials so we can bring this thing to life together. To the extent that my supply lists, techniques, and etc are helpful, use them! I’m here to teach. Inspiration isn’t a finite resource; the more we help each other, the better we all become! I can’t wait for your feedback, too, and for us all to get to know each other better.
Up here in the mountains, I use a Glowforge Pro. I’m also a fan of its accompanying suite of materials and exclusively use their medium, and thick, draft board for MDF-type applications. I also use birch, and on occasion basswood, plywood as well as various hardwoods. Thus, my designs are optimized to print on 12×20 (or, occasionally, 8×12, or 6×12) boards. Should you need a different size, just let me know. I can’t be all things to all people but I can do my best.
Now, onward and upward!
The SVG’s for the Blackthorn Manor greatroom are here. Look for tutorials under the tags: blackthornmanor, greatroom, and tutorial. In this project, I found myself inspired by the most loved fantasy novels of my childhood. I loved imagining myself standing before a roaring fire in some remote hall, warming my hands as the snow melted into puddles at my feet. You might want to go somewhere similar, in your work–or not! I look forward to seeing your “ancient ruins on Mars” creation.
